1. Acceptance

By registering for, accessing, or using World Explorer (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Service Description

World Explorer is a destination exploration platform that allows you to:

Explore countries and regions on an interactive 3D globe.
Save destinations and plan trips.
Publish and read forum stories.
Access third-party booking and activity links.
Play geography quizzes.

The Platform is provided free of charge. Certain features may be offered in the future at no cost or under a paid subscription.

3. Registration and Accounts

Eligibility: You must be at least 16 years old to register (GDPR, Spain). If you are under 16, you must have parental consent.
Account security: You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering.
Suspension: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or any applicable law.
Inactivity: Accounts inactive for more than 24 months may be deleted after prior notice.

4. Forum Content

      By posting on the forum, you warrant that you are the author of the content and have all necessary rights. You grant World Explorer a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to display, distribute, and store your content on the Platform.
    

Prohibited content includes: illegal, offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, pornographic, spam, violent, or content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.

World Explorer may remove any content without prior notice. To report content, write to worldexplorerwebcontact@gmail.com.

You retain ownership of your content. This license is limited to operating and improving the Platform and does not grant us the right to sell your content.

5. Intellectual Property

The design, code, trademarks, and editorial content of World Explorer are owned by World Explorer or its licensors. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

Photographs are provided by Unsplash under their free license. Map data and globe visualization are provided by third-party libraries under open-source licenses.

6. Third-Party Links and Affiliates

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., booking platforms, travel services). World Explorer does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of those websites.

Affiliate Disclosure: Some links in the "Plan My Trip" section are affiliate links. If you click and make a booking, World Explorer may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. Current affiliate partners include Iberia (flights), GetYourGuide (activities), and Viator (tours). Recommendations are not influenced by affiliate agreements.

7. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer

      The Platform and all content, information, and materials are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
    

Destination information is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional travel advice.
World Explorer does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content on the Platform.
We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to travel decisions, lost data, or service interruptions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence where prohibited by applicable law.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination:

Your account and personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Forum stories may be anonymized or retained in accordance with our retention policy.
Sections 5 (Intellectual Property), 7 (Limitation of Liability), and 10 (Governing Law) survive termination.

9. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform and delete your account.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be submitted to the courts of the city of Madrid, Spain. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also bring proceedings in your country of residence.
